Terms & Conditions

 These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Trent Art Gallery’s Fine Art Printing Services, including but not limited to fine art image capturing, fine art canvas and paper printing, gallery wrapped stretching, drop shipping, and data storage usage. By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Services

a. Fine Art Image Capturing: Trent Art Gallery provides high-quality image capturing services for fine art pieces. We use professional equipment and techniques to capture images that accurately represent your artwork.

– Paints must have proper paint pigmentation for capturing

* Our scanner pushes light through objects to capture. If your paint does not have the correct pigmentation, those specific paint colors will be more transluscence due to the lack of pigmentation and high volume of water.

– Canvas background prep (suggestion not required)

* Background prep can help out immensely with color transluscence. A good solid color (ex. black) will help stop the white canvas from showing up behing your paint in the capture

– No photosensitive or photoreactive paints (ex. Glow in the Dark paint, Black Light paint & more)

* These paints react different ways to different spectrums of light. When our scanners pushes light through these colors they may not match the original color

– All subject matter on canvas must lay flat

* If we go to lay your painting down on our flatbed scanner and it does not lay flat to the image. (ex. having a beveled bored that is raised off of the main subject)

– No 3D objects fixated to canvas

– No Non-Paint materials (ex. gold flake, glitter, clear coatings & more)

* Gold flakes, glitters and clear coatings reflect light differently than paint and may not show correct color.

*We will accept paintings will clear coatings but they must have cured for a week prior to drop off. Paintings that are left sticky or uncured will be refused to capture.

In order for us to get the highest quality capture possible, we have to make sure that the following terms above have been met by the artist prior to capturing. If any of the requirements above are not met prior to capture, we will still capture the piece but with these terms from that point on:

– If the image does not come through a 1:1 capture and there is 1 hour or less worth of editing that can be done to rejuvenate the piece, we will do that FREE of charge

– If the image does not come through a 1:1 capture and there is more than 1 hours worth of editing time to rejuvenate, we will contact the artist and inform them on estimated time. We will then collect a 50% deposit prior to editing and an estimated timeframe will be given then. Any graphic designing, color matching, or image editing of any kind will cost $50/hour.

b. Fine Art Canvas and Paper Printing: We offer printing services on various fine art substrates, including canvas and paper, using state-of-the-art printers and archival inks to ensure longevity and exceptional quality. Matte and Gloss options only. If you would like a type of paper that is not matte or gloss, we will see if our printer can handle it and get you an estimate from there. 

c. Gallery Wrapped Stretching: Our team can professionally hand stretch canvas prints onto wooden stretcher bars, providing a finished and gallery-ready look for your artwork. Hand stretching does come with slight inconsistences that we will fix upon request and if deemed appropriate by the Trent Art Gallery shop management. 

d. Drop Shipping: Trent Art Gallery offers drop shipping services for your convenience. We can ship your prints directly to your customers with a neutral label, allowing you to focus on your creative work. The Trent Art Gallery is not responsible for anything that happens during shipping.

e. Data Storage Usage: We may store digital files of your artwork for the purpose of fulfilling your printing orders at your convenience. All artists that have scanned a painting with us will have access to their pieces for up to a month for free before we have to remove access to those images. In that month’s time, please feel free to download your images on to a memory device for safe keeping as we will have done the same. 

2. Copyright and Ownership

a. You retain all copyrights and ownership rights to your artwork and digital files. Trent Art Gallery will not use, reproduce, or distribute your artwork without your explicit consent. Signing these terms and conditions does give the Trent Art Gallery consent to use your images for the purposes of marketing and exposure but not for sale.

b. By using our services, you grant Trent Art Gallery the right to use your digital files for the other sole purpose of fulfilling your printing orders. We will not use your files for any other purpose without your permission.

3. Payment

a. Prices for our services are outlined in our pricing deck or as agreed upon in a separate contract.

b. Payment for services is due upon order placement. We accept various payment methods, including credit cards and electronic transfers.

4. Turnaround Time

a. Turnaround times for our services may vary depending on the scope of the project and current workload. We will provide estimated delivery times upon order confirmation. We typically can typically have everything scanned, printed, packaged and shipped within 1-2 weeks. Depending on artist scheduling needs, we can accommodate expedition depending on our shops availability schedule and for a 50% upcharge of total order cost. Some items like gallery wrapped canvas have a minimum turnaround time of 4 days to allow ink curation on the canvas it’s being printed on before stretching.  

b. While we strive to meet agreed-upon deadlines, we are not responsible for delays due to unforeseen circumstances such as equipment failure, shipping issues, or other factors beyond our control.

5. Quality Assurance

a. Trent Art Gallery is committed to delivering high-quality prints and services. If you are unsatisfied with the quality of your prints, please contact us within 3 days of receiving your order, and we will work to address your concerns.

6. Data Security

a. We take measures to secure and protect your digital files. However, we cannot guarantee the security of your data during transmission or storage, and you are responsible for backing up your digital files.

7. Privacy

a. We respect your privacy and handle your personal information carefully.

8. Modification of Terms

a. Trent Art Gallery reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and your continued use of our services after such modifications will constitute your acceptance of the revised Terms.
